Designing things
that matter.
I'm Deepa — an industrial designer exploring how thoughtful products can bring usefulness, meaning, and a little more joy to everyday life.

Ideas made tangible.
A selection of explorations from first sketches to physical prototypes and production-ready products.
Curiosity is
where it begins.
I believe meaningful design comes from observing real needs, exploring materials with your hands, and continuously asking whether something could be more useful, intuitive, or responsible.
Hi, I'm Deepa.

Designer, maker, and endlessly curious about how things work.
My interest in design started with making things from paper, cardboard, and objects around the house. That curiosity has grown into a practice combining research, hands-on experimentation, form development, and an understanding of how products are actually made.
With experience developing home décor and hardware products for the US and UK markets, I now pursue my MA in Industrial Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I enjoy designing across scales — from playful learning objects to modular systems and everyday home products.
From idea to reality.
Design experience across collaboration, product development, materials, sourcing and manufacturing.
